Love the contrast. Pencil shadings (especially large scale) is tricky business requiring a lot of patience. How big is this piece? Also, I noted that you skipped straight to 8b to shade the darkest bits and that gave a very grainy texture in the darker areas. I think it worked well for this because feather is textured itself. In other things I'd recommend a more gradual transition in pencil gradings...give the other pencils in your pencil set a chance:)

This is very nice work. The flowing lines and bold colours are beautiful. I love how that contrasts with her calm/blank expression. The full image seems kinda unclear/low res. Is that due to the camera/scanning?

f

I dig the simplicity and lyrical lines. This would make one KISS ASS tattoo!

f

I've love to see this coloured! It would definitely amplify the contrast. +FAV

f

It is refreshingly thoughtful work. Higher rez please?

f

You do have quite a flare for flames indeed! This is fabulous. Kinda remind me of a demented Harry Potter. What mediums did you use?

f

I really love this style. The subtle wing is a great touch. Not particularly fond of the flying hearts but this still is a great addition to my Fav folder.

Thanks for sharing!

f

Ooooooohh....

I love this!

Reminds me of works by Surrealist Dali. Especially, the shadow of a man (?) giving her a kiss.

Wicked concept! Two little suggestions: 1. Light-kun and L-kun's photos look a little skewed. I think you were trying to fit them into the frame. Maybe pick a different scan or crop the photo to keep the original dimensions? 2. I don't really like the smoke effect coming from Mello.

Nice work nyways!

f

I really like your concept. The image seems a little bit low rez although it is very well put together overall. This wallie would make an amazing vector. Keep it in mind for future projects! I'd love to see it!

f

Mmm...oh my eyes are so happily satisfied.

I can't vector anything, so I am groveling in your patience and skillfulness.

I have to say my fav part is the very subtle (but necessary) ring of ripples from the touch of their fingers. The dimension and depth are wonderful!

I love the unique idea. Upon first glance I knew it was Bleach...but the presentation is just out of this world. ++ FAV!

f

I am quite a fan of Tokyo Babylon. +FAV How about a red one next time? Something darker would be greatly appreciated!

f

I love how you did the blades of the weapons. The reflections make them look so real! Superb!

f

Hm...I knew there is something else I can work on.

I updated the wallie with a more 3D version, the 2Dness was not intentional. thanks for picking that up.

f

Love the cutout effect:)

The border is not very obvious. I think you should make it stand out more. This wallpaper has greeeat potential:D

f

Very interesting. Love the firey look!

Not sure of the flame/light coming out from his forehead though...

Quote by ElvesSo pretty! I like what you've done here, and it's even more impressive to see you've walled your own art! Kudos! (Okay, that's enough with the exclamation points! XD )

There is one thing I noticed: if the lady's hair (and the dragons) are blurred by the sun sphere her leg should be as well. Right now it's not affected by the the heat haze. I also like the texture that you've got throughout the wall, but the lady & dragons aren't affected by it, but the ground/rock she's standing on is. I'd like to see it one way or the other - just for consistency.
I really like the concept and placement of the images. Awesome drawing, and I'm almost saddened that the dragons are so blurred (but alas, for consistency they must remain so ^_^' ) Very nice work - thanks so much for sharing! :pacman:

Thanks for the input. I thought The dragons could look like they are being born/formed from the clouds...but I guess that didn't come across. As for the textural differences, I want to maintain the original pen & ink effects while not contradicting the lens flare and petals. I'll go back and work on this some more.

f

Very intriguing. I love the dark turquoise colouration^:^

I am not sure why there is treelike texture around the eyelashes? Also, I am not sure if the square around the eye really enhances the wallpaper.

Well done over all.

f

Very intriguing composition! Quite appropriate for the series!

f

The lighting effect is exceptionally well done. Great job overall!

f

The concept, design and layout are fabulous. Love the strong contrast! Somehow I feel that the image quality could be higher...or is the pixelatedness an intended effect? Not sure on that one but everything else is superb.

f

Yeah! I love this movie! The concept is great but this wallie (like all pieces of art) could be improved.

f

Very interesting composition and choice of colour. Clean. I quite like!
